Meet The Doctor

The Wellness Doctor You Can Trust.

Quick History

The chiropractic profession has been around since 1895 and was founded by a man named DD Palmer, who suggested that by adjusting the spine you could cure diseases. His first patient was a worker in the building who said he could barely hear for 17 years, but after being adjusted his hearing was almost completely restored. Palmer began teaching chiropractic to students, including his son, BJ Palmer, who started promoting chiropractic and helped it to grow to be the profession it is today. Chiropractic revolves around the idea that the spine has “subluxations”, and causes nerve interference. He theorized the nerve interference can go on to cause pain and other organ dysfunction and disease. By adjusting these “subluxations”, a chiropractor removes the nerve interference (AKA restores normal nervous system function) to allow the body to more efficiently function and therefore heal itself.

Maki Chiropractic Clinic is built around this premise. We believe that the body has a God-given, natural ability to heal itself, and that the best way to help the body to heal is via the most conservative and natural way possible. With chiropractic care there are absolutely no drugs and no surgery. It is literally hands on healing, and it doesn't get much more natural than that.

Dr. Maki is absolutely amazing. I’ve had headaches/migraines for almost a year and seeing him only twice had taken them away! I always thought I’d have to live with headaches until I met Dr. Maki...
